Unite 4 Procedure

Procedure


       
            On Monday 16 December, We learn unit 4 "Procedure". Before learning , Dr.Usa commanded to write how to cook a favorite food and talked to our friends. Then she handed out procedure sheets for students and explained many details with examples from the internet. She tried to find photos and how to cook foods to students understood easier. Next, We see many examples with description such as how to make a banana Shake, Recipe for Banana Cake, how to cook omelet, Chicken soup and Learning a second  language. They were interesting for learning. I knew how to many foods and can use them. Doing exercises were fun and practiced reading for understanding. I felt it wasn't difficult. I like to learn it. So, I attended to learn for using in my real life.

Tom Yum Kung




          Tom Yum Kung is the one type of Tom Yum. It is the favorite Thail Food for Thai People and the foreigner who love in Thai Food. There is Tom Yum Kung in the mnu of every Thai restaurants. The original taste of Tom Yum Kung is hot and spicy but in some restaurant especially Thai restaurants in Europe and the U.S.A cooking just a little bit of spicy that suitable for the foreigners. The most people who know Thailand will also know Tom Yum Kung and it is very easy to find Tom Yum Kung in Thailand. Now I will tell you how to cook Tom Yum Kung in your kichen.


InGredients
1 Pound of Shrimp
1 soup spoon of fish sauce, a half of fresh milk can
1 teaspoon of shrip paste
2 teaspooh of salt
Lemon grass – 5 leaves
Sliced Thai chilli – 5 pieces
Galangals – 2 pieces
green peppers
mashrooms
tomatoes – 2 pieces
limes – 1 pieces
tamarind concentate water
Kaffir lime leaves.
Preparation
    Boiled 4 cups of water with salt, lemon grass and galangals. Then put mushroom, shrimps, fish sauce, tamarind concentate water, green peper(it's depending on your favour), fresh milk, chilli, shrimp paste, limes and Kaffir lime leaves and wait until done. After that serve with rice.

Unit 3 Description


Description




         On Sunday 15 December , I learned about description. Dr.Usa explained the meaning of description, purpose and language feature. Then, I talked to my friend about my favorite animal in English. I felt enjoy and fun. Next, I read texts and do exercises. I read Komodo and knew about its life even more. Budapest is a second text that I read. I practiced to find the describe the places according to the text and answered the questions. I make me want to visit to Budapest. The third text is Prague. It's a  interesting city, because there are many attractions. there are many difficult words. I open my dictionary all time and remember in my brain. I rather like to learn this clause more. It's really fun.

Narrative (continue 1)

What do you learn today?


                   On Monday 2 December We learned about narrative continue from yesterday. We read Secret and translated together again. Then, Dr.Usa answered the questions. She give the volunteer typed the answers on the computer for friends. I went out  to was a volunteer to shared my answers. The teacher praised me that I felt so good. And then, we did other exercises on the sheet. My friend and I read Secret and tried to translate to understanding it better. Finally, The teacher give me came back to write the blog about Secret. There are 6 items that explained details. It was fun to talk my friend in English and helped me improved speaking skill. 


                                                                     




                                                      Summary of Secret
         
         


    Kylie feel left out from her mother and Philip’s activities. She becomes interested in the chicken in the yard. Somehow her secret helps her to feel less lonely. She finds a second egg and then finds out where others are being laid by an unhealthy-looking hen. She likes to sit on the fence, sharing the secret with the hen. When she moves into the house, she is forbidden to lift the lid. Some afternoon she sits out under the grapevines with her photo album, turning page and looking at the lid every now and then she misses her father.
Next, she watches the hen sitting on the ten eggs. Then she takes the lid off the well and starts to go down the well with her photo. She watches her mother and step-father in the house and thinks why her father is not with them. In the afternoon, Philip caught Kylie down the well and hit her. That evening, the chicks hatches in the space and are thrown down the well by Kylie. Then, she hits the hen and throws it down the well until Philip comes out to get her. Before bed, she takes one special photo with a pair of scissor to cut off her head from the photo and throw it away.

I feel sorry for Kylie because she was left alone and looked forward her father.



     I disapprove of Kylie’s mother because she didn’t take care Kylie who is her daughter and was not allowed to Kylie knew why her father and her mother did not live together.





I dislike Philip because he wasn’t interested feeling’s kylie and hit her.







What do you feel about the story?

          I think the story about  neglect, loneliness and problems associated with contemporary family life. Kylie who is a young girl was left alone because her mother has a new husband and love him more than her. Her mother didn't take care Kylie. She left Kylie play alone and didn't rather talk with daughter. To make Kylie felt loneliness and want to sit in the well only for missing her father. It's make her decide to do everything by self though that thing is correct or incorrect. It's big problems of family that must to manage it for happiness of family.

                If I were Kylie, I will go out to play with friends. To take the photo album give to my mother see and ask all things that I suspect. I don't care Philip who is father in law. I will search the information of my father from my cousins. I will talk with my neighbors and try to do activities with my mother for good relationship.

Unit 2 Narrative



      On Sunday 1 December We learned  about narrative that had purpose, types, text organisation and language features. Dr.Usa  explained all details on the Narrative sheet for us and shared the idea with talked to friends. Then we got the sample text sheet of  Narrative and read to understand by self. The teacher asked us about this text that who , what, where etc. We answered her together. Someone didn't understand but I rather understood it. The problems was I knew vocabularies a little, translation incorrect and mistaken grammar. I tried translation to me understood a lot. I liked a last sheet. It had a test secrets for us. It was so fun and maked me knew my thinking past event. We read narrative "Secrets by Tim Winton" and shared the idea was the group. Finally, she gave home-works for us do. There were Item C , D and E.  I felt enjoy and not serious in this course.

Recount (continue 2)


               On Monday 25 November , We did the exercises 3. The teacher gave us talked the ideas with a friend about the text “An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens” and answered the questions. I felt enjoy. After that, The teacher gave us to answer the answers on the computer. I answered item 2.  I felt very kind because it was correct. The teacher highlights the words for us understand easier.  Next, to do the exercises 4 and 5. The teacher read the texts for us listen every time. Finally, the teacher open the works on the e-mail to solve for us and gave out the papers for us. The teacher gave to write personal recount. I understand about recount better because I practice the exercise regularly. I think it wasn’t difficult if I attended it.

Recount (continue1)







       On Sunday 24 November  I  had an English class by Dr.Usa.  The first, She  answered the exercises for  us to check. Then, She taught about Recount continue. we got a new sheets and practiced the exercises. This is an exercise  that  gave to analyze the text. It’s easy. I can guessed the answer s from the clues. After finished , to read the text “My Grand’s Funeral in Toraja” and answer the question that follow. I didn’t understand the text because there are many vocabularies that I didn’t know. I  must open my dictionary for finding all time. The teacher explained the text  repeatedly and surfed the information for support teaching. However I want to improve vocabulary skill  for me understand the text immediately when read it.

Unit 1 Recount





                On Monday 18th January 2013, It's day began all of learning. The first, The teacher introduced the course and discussed the details. I learn about recount. The teacher explained the definition of recount by use the internet on computer , taught to know about discourse markers such as and , too ,because, however etc.we have a break about 20 mints for rest and went to the toilet. Then the teacher gave exercise sheets for us. The first sheet ordered to complete the sentences of each paragraph by using the discourse markers that is in the box. After finished the first sheet, the teacher gave the second sheets with did 2 item to be exemplar and give us do it continuous. We have a group work. The teacher ordered to find the sentences of discourse markers and share with friends in next time. This unit was difficult because I don't know the vocabulary and mistake interpretation. It's not too difficult if I's diligent and  attempted.

My Perceptions and Attiudes


In Writing for communication 1 class. I learned all 12 contents. There are introducing oneself, writing notes and messages, requests, cards, diaries, Blogs, invitations, form, small ads, and itineraries. I practiced writing skill for daily-life communication and learned many culture of foreigners.



   After learning this course.I can use e-mail for communication, create Weblogs, write about their personal information, read and write notes and message, create and sent print cards and e-cards on various occasions such as greeting, congratulation, etc, write traditional diaries and Weblog using accurate language structure, read and write postcards, read and write requests, read and write invitation, acceptances and refusals, read and complete various forms, read and write short advertisement and read and develop itineraries. It's important very much because can use to communication around the world.





    Finally, I was to be glad and happy in learning this course with Dr.Usa Noytim. She's  good looking all time, kind and punctual. She taught very well because she had experience a lot to advise all everything about learning English. May have sometimes I'm not understand but she explain repeat to I understand. I felt impressive, happy and enjoy in this course. I will take all knowledge to development myself for will be a good teacher in the future. 














Itenerary Presentation

       Yesterday,We presented itenerary in Thailand such as Bangkok, Chaig Mai, Pattaya,Phuket and Maehongsorn. All group tried to do it the best. Each of group have how to present with Power Point  not same. The problem to occur was the Projector have objections to off nearly time. Some group Presented really slowly because they don't know how to spell word but it's enjoyable. Someone spoke to fun very much. Some group copy information from the internet to speaking wasn't nature because they forgot detail. However, I believed everyone felt happy and enjoy in this class.

Unit 12 Itineraries



 
Today,I learned about itineraries.The teacher told our point in test two months ago.It's so bad but pass half. Then The teacher took our read the itinerary and wrote the sentence with a contraction like the example.I wrote my own itinerary for summer vacation similar the example and told to my classmate about plan this summer.After The teacher took work in group of five people and found interesting place of visit and plan an itinerary. I think it's  easy.I had fun and happy.

Unit 8 Requests


         I learned about how to writing requests , read  e-mail messages the request and wrote notes request  and pass to my classmates. The teacher took our find information about travel tip and pass next week.It's important a lot if  we want to know information somewhere or give someone help. I can wrote notes ask for help from my friends and other people.I felt enjoy and happy in this week.

Unit 4 Telephone




     Today, We sent homeworks. I see small advertisements for everybody.It's very beautiful than me. The teacher taught about telephone message repeat because she's afraid. We don't understand  how to write short telephone message.I took a telephone conversation paper read to my partner.Then A friend note messages. I thank it's a little difficult. Although we liked to talk noisy but the teacher's  kind. I felt very happy because I understood this lesson all.

      I learned about how to write telephone massage, read dialogue sentences on sheets  and practice to talked telephone in English to my partner. We completed information  follow example telephone conversation on sheet. The teacher took our find a telephone conversation for pratice to talk next week. It wasn't easy.  I confuse in this class because I don't know how  to write short messages.

Unit 11 Small Advertisements



         Today, We learned about about advertisement.I had a writing small advertisement , shortened forms of words and abbreviations and writing a sentence describing my characteristics. We read detail of advertisement and said to our friends about the reasons for buy things.Then ,We told the teacher. The teacher take our created  a used thing advertisement submit next week. Although It's a holiday but I felt happy in this class.

Unit 10 Completing Forms





          Today, We learned about how to fill out forms, wrote forms follow situation, answer the questions and saw apply application forms. I send invitation printed card by create myself. I interested about completing forms because it's important very much in the future if will go to foreign country.  I felt happy.
