Unit 7,8 Definition and Classification











       Today is 27 on Monday in 2014. I was so nervous and excited, because I knew that I might present about the food in that day. I tried to keep my mood in mind and learned about Definition and Classification continue. Before learning, the teacher explained the details about them for comprehensions to us. She talk clearly and found the examples to  understand easier. I could do exercises, but I sometimes mistook finding the technical terms, the Definition Marker, and the definition. However, It was not too difficult for me. Just tried to read well and see the clue of the text when I didn't  know the vocabularies. I prepared my dictionary to learn this course. So, I could find the meaning in the unseen words. Other one thing, I practiced to write the diagram from the text by myself. Though, there were some items were not correct. It impressed to my ability. I used Definition and Classification markers to notice definitions , terms and classification. It helped my reading the text wasn't difficult and understand quickly in the short time.Moreover, They helped to identify both technical terms and their meaning and identified both the general concepts and its types. Normally, The problems in learning : had unknown words, confused in the text and interpretation incorrect. I try to  improve them all times.
         At last, There were 3 groups that present about foods. One of all groups had my group included. The first group , they made Chocolate syrup. they took the ingredients to make in the classroom.  I taste it. it was sweet and good smell. The second group,they made Soda drinking and made it in the classroom same. It was interested end a easy thing. they looked enjoy so. The last group is my group. I intended for presentation in this time. My friends told me that "It looks delicious and PowerPoint is cool". I was so kind. And will do the next work is good continue.  Thanks for your attention.

Comparison and Contrast (continue)





   
         On Monday 13, 2014, It was Open House of NPRU, but we  have the class. The teacher told us that she had to joined the festival. So, she taught us quickly. It was amusing that there was a person saw into our classroom. It make the teacher felt worry. Then, we started to do the exercise "Huricane Andrew and Hericane Katrina". The text was easy to read. Difficult words was found the meanings. And did the question completely before learned. In addition, Men and Women was a text to read and do exercises. It used the language easily and made understand quickly.  Some answer was incorrect. However, I  was proud that did it by myself. The last, There were 3 groups to present about the food by the teacher and us. Each person told well and had the video for attractive. I thought, the videos make us laughed and felt relaxed. But the teacher wanted them made  it better. They got good comments from her and would take to improve the next work. After finished, we went to join the festival together.


Men and Women
       I agree all with Tannen  about the different traits of men and women. There are many the different traits of men and women that she told ;
      1.  Men like a competition with others. On the other hand, women look for relationships with others.
      2.  Men and Women speak different languages.
      3.  Men talk to show skills and knowledge. In contrast, women use both public and  private speech to build relationships.
      4.  Men will voice disagreement openly. In contrast, women try to avoid open argument in conversations.

Unit 5 Comparison and Contrast / Test in midterm







       On Monday 6 January 2014, We had a midterm test in this class. I felt really nervous. I did the test quickly because it had many items that must to analyze.  I was confused some items. However, I can do them by myself. It wasn't too difficult. I pleased to my test. And hope will pass in this test.
       Then, Dr.Usa opened texts of comparison and contrast on the internet and analyze them together. She taught us to read and find the main idea of the text. It made me had understood it before had the sheet. There were a few words of the text that was difficult word. I tried to read it following my teacher to improve my reading skill better. In addition, I can write the diagram of the text to notice from discourse marker. We  learned not yet. Therefore, we had homework for today. Finally, there were 3 group that presented work. They did it so well. I was really enjoy and happy in this week.
